The Meaning of 4-20
I know this is a day late, but I figured I'd post this anyway. Has anyone noticed how 4-20 has a lot of different origins? (For those who don't know what 4-20 is , aside from the columbine shooting aniversery and I guess Hitlers birthday, 4-20 is the date for national pot smoking day.) One origin, the one I was told was true, was 4-20 used to be really the time 4:20 PM, when students would get out of detention and go smoke up. Now I beleive that is the real one since some of the following origins are only myths and not true.
Myth One:
4-20 is the cop code for marijuana busts in California, or something like that.
-Not true because, well that's not the code go look it up.
Myth Two:
4-20 was when there was a National Smoke Out inWashington in the early '90's.
- True, on the date, but false, because 4-20 is known to originate back to the '70's.
Ok, well if my answer isn't correct I'd like to know post your thoughts on 4-20 in the comments.
